Annual Report 2022-23
The Annual Report showcases the achievements and glories of the school. We set standards and goals for ourselves and strive to achieve them.
We are committed to create an environment in the school which helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic development of the child’s personality.
Infrastructure
The school is well equipped with 3 Science labs and computer lab. We also have a well-stocked library and decked spacious rooms for art, indoor games and audio- visual activities.
Academics
Competitions and academic activities that go beyond the textbooks and the classrooms encourage and foster a healthy and competitive spirit and effective communication skills in the students. Some of these activities are handwriting competition, creative writing (slogan writing, poem writing, and story writing etc.), debate, declamation, quiz etc. were organized celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava’.
The students have shown keen interest in these activities and they actively participated in Inter House Competitions. Art integrated learning has been the hallmark of the school after the CBSE mandated it as compulsory. Art integrated projects were given for all the subjects which truly attracted a lot of attention and students willingly contributed to its success.
Interactive Sessions
Our school organizes various seminars and motivational talks for the students and the teachers to update themselves on the current topics. Value based sessions are conducted for self-development and personality development of the students with an aim to inculcate them with values like honesty, gratitude, kindness, forgiveness etc.
School Houses
“Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from unity.”
The students of our school are divided into four different houses – Rose, Lily, Lotus and Tulip. Each house is managed by House Incharges, Associate House Incharges, House Captains and House Prefects. The house on duty performs its duty of conducting the day-to-day activities, and competitions in a systematic and disciplined manner.
GAMES AND SPORTS
“To be a great champion, you must believe you are the best, if you are not, keep on trying”.
Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. Sports, games and physical fitness occupy a place of importance in our curriculum. The students participated in different sports competitions.
The Kho- Kho (Girls) team and the Kabaddi (Boys) team participated in the CBSE Inter School Sports and Games Competition. Apart from this the students of junior wing and senior wing of the school also participated in the Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm.
Festivals and Celebrations
All national, religious and regional festivals are held throughout the year to educate the children about the rich cultural and religious heritage of India. These events sensitize the students towards living in harmony in a diverse society and encourage them to pay respect to the customs and traditions of all religious communities. The students celebrated, Baisakhi, Holi, Diwali, Teej festival, Rakshabandan, Christmas, Lohri etc. with great zeal. The Annual Day of our school also has the theme – ‘Unity in Diversity’. Independence Day, Environment Day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are few of other events which were celebrated with great excitement.
Art and Craft
School organizes various art and craft competitions like Rakhi making, card making, rangoli, poster making, diya decoration, collage making etc. to enhance the creativity of the students. The works of the students are also exhibited to showcase their talents.
Exhibition
The Annual Science Exhibition was held in the school which showcased the projects, models and other activities done by the students throughout the year. Children are encouraged to present their innovative ideas to the parents and other guests through working and demonstrative models, charts etc.
Trips and Excursions
Our school provides ample opportunities to the students to experience the outside world by providing educational tours. The students visited the Science City in Kapurthala. They learnt, explored and experienced many new things.
The students of class 8 and 9 were also taken to an excursion. They visited an Orphanage in Amritsar. They spent pretty good time with the children, played, clicked photographs, had lunch with them in langar hall and enjoyed. The students also arranged some clothes, toys, eatables etc. for them as a token of their love towards them.
Health Checkup Camp
The school organized Health Checkup Camp for all the students and the doctors advised the students to eat balanced diet and to do lots of physical activities to keep mind and body fit and healthy.
Teacher Training and Professional Development
Our committed staff of teachers are undergoing a process of continuous development by undertaking a number of training sessions on the portal of CBSE and other such training apps in online and offline modes. They are always eager to learn and accept recent trends in education and ensure maximum Learning outcomes in the teaching learning process.
